  1. New Beginnings -- Fresh starts.

    The story of the Lotus:
"The lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest mud" - Buddhist Proverb

The lotus flower is one of the most remarkable creations in nature. Its beauty lies in its purity, because this magnificent flower emerges from the bottom of a pond, yet rises above its muddy depths to become a thing of beauty, signifying spiritual elevation and growth.

Hello to all: The flower of recovery is within you today. Now in the present, even when you were in the depths of despair. Even when you were intentionally walking the path to suicide. Even when you felt helpless, hopeless, without inner harmony. The flower of recovery was there.

Thirty five years ago, I felt like a hard cooked egg that had been dropped to many times. There was no exit for me, I thought except to take a 'dirt nap' I was disconnected from my family, my friends, and from myself. Then I took the first step. I surrendered and sought help.

No one, of course, is the person they were in the past. We change daily, spiraling up -- and sometimes down.. but changing. The person I am today is the result of 12,792 days of recovery. I am still in recovery. I would like to share my thoughts with you.

    with deep metta (loving kindness)
    Coralee
